Reviving Joseph's Legacy: A Call to Reclaim Our Heritage

It is time to awaken the spirit among of our nation by raising awareness about the remarkable figure who is Joseph, while instituting a practical plan to return to the place he is buried.

From the dawn of history, there has never been a time when Jews were unable to visit the Tomb of Joseph in Shechem. The history of the Jewish people in the Land of Israel begins with Joseph and the burial of his bones here. The abandonment of Joseph's Tomb - on October 7, 2000 - echoes in our hearts, and continues to echo in consciousness of the Jewish people as his "second sale."

Now we are returning...

This initiative, rooted in Joseph's enduring legacy, focuses on three key objectives:

• Implementing a Practical Plan for Reestablishing Access to the Site of Joseph's Tomb in Nablus
• Establishing a Research Institute and Visitor Center Dedicated to Joseph's Heritage
• Raising Public Awareness of Joseph's Character and Values through Educational Campaigns

Joseph is our universal Jew. Joseph symbolizes reconciliation, peace, a bridge between religions, and a healthy economic existence. Joseph never stopped dreaming, his focus on the future, despite the hardships he endured, including 13 years of incarceration in and Egyptian prison.

The return to Joseph's Tomb is a proclamation by the Jewish people to more strongly connect to our roots and our historic national heritage sites.
