Joey Needs Some Special Veterinary Care, Possibly Surgery. Please help.

Our volunteer Michele writes:  I rescued little Joey from an apartment complex in East Point on September 13th.  We feed several colonies there.  He was alone and languishing near the back feeding station. Since then, I've taken him to two vets because he has pretty severe labored breathing and apnea. He's been on several types of antibiotics and has received lungworm treatment. None of these have helped, so the next step is to put him under and look at the back of his throat to see if there is a polyp or some kind of congenital deformity.

The doctor said there is evidence of something in the back of the throat causing issues with breathing.  The apnea is very concerning.  

The surgery is his only chance at living a good life. We may find out that it's not 'fixable' but we owe it to Joey to try.
