Here’s your opportunity to try out different types of props and the movements that go with them, while learning about flow arts movement theory!

An instructor at Momentum Aerial in Flagstaff, and founder of the Southwest Flow Festival, Evan Thibodeau (ET) will help you get comfortable moving with different props.

In this workshop you’ll:

watch a demonstration showcasing each of the different props available and how they move
have an opportunity to try out different props and learn their basic movements
learn movement patterns that are transferable between different kinds of props
learn about flow arts movement theory
participate in a “flow jam,” dancing with your chosen props in ways that feel natural and fun

Beginners are absolutely welcome!

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Originally from Philadelphia, Evan (ET) has called Flagstaff home since 2009.

He has been spinning poi since 2018 and is an active member of the flow arts community- regularly performing, hosting events, and instructing.

Evan instructs poi at Momentum Aerial in Flagstaff, is a company member of Hydrangea Movement Arts and Peppercorn Games, sponsored team member of Flow on Fire, co-fire lead and organizer of flow arts and juggling workshops for June Jam, and founder/event director for the Southwest Flow Festival.

Professionally, Evan is the owner of Flagstaff Stargazing Adventures, LLC, leading stargazing and hiking experiences around Northern Arizona and Grand Canyon National Park…including the occasional New Moon Star Party, which includes world-class stargazing, fire spinning, and live music!
