Are you (or your teen) looking for a creative and relaxed way for them to connect with peers?

Join us for our Pizza & Paint Hangout!— a social event designed for neurodivergent teens ages 13–17 who enjoys creative activities and may be dropped off and participate independently with minimum support.

Cost includes pizza, drinks, and art supplies to make a take-home, fall-themed guided, canvas artwork.
This event is designed as an independent drop-off to give neurodivergent teens a place to hangout with peers independently, under guided supervision.
There will be pizza and drinks available, light age-appropriate music, and a guided painting task.
Social interaction amongst the teens are encouraged and supported, but not forced. This guided activity allows teens to engage, without pressure, by following along in the painting task, while also giving them the opportunity to engage with each other.
Light, social icebreakers will be given.
Teens are encouraged to bring items of sensory regulation as needed.
Teens must be able to participate in a guided paint activity with minimal (verbal guidance) or no support, and are not at risk for eloping.
Supervision will be light (5 teens-to-1 volunteer) — volunteer chaperones, under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Practitioner (SLP), will be present for safety, but staff will not provide 1:1 support.
Parents/caregivers are welcome to drop off and return at pick-up time or wait in the car.
Maximum participants: 20 teens
Although this program is designed and hosted by an SLP and will provide opportunities for social communication and interaction, it should not be considered a therapeutic activity or service; no communication goals are established to provide professional intervention/support.

Designed by a licensed SLP, Just Hanging Out gives neurodivergent teens and young adults a safe, welcoming space to build skills, make friends, and belong. Through a mix of fun activities and guided support, the program fosters confidence, interdependence, and community.

Inclusively Empowered Angels is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing resources and support to neurodivergent youth, adults, and their support systems, particularly those from marginalized and under-resourced communities. Our mission is to empower neurodivergent individuals with the strategies and tools needed to foster interdependence, inclusion, and active participation in familial, educational, employment, community, and leisure activities.
