Started in 2015, the Kool Boiz Foundation has empowered the lives of hundreds of boys and young men of color in Youngstown Ohio through our core programs including our Promising Men Mentoring Program, our Young Men’s Empowerment Series Mentoring Program, and our College and Trade School Scholarship Program.

The Promising Men Mentoring program provides mentoring for 5^th, 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th graders in several schools in Youngstown, Ohio.

The Young Men's Empowerment Series Mentoring Program is a multifaceted program designed to focus on exploring long-term success through education, leadership, life skills, and hard work for boys and young men of color in both Youngstown, OH and Columbus, OH areas. Our goal is to give young men an opportunity to hear about and reflect on "What's Possible" through thought-provoking interactive discussions and workshops. We accomplish this through our annual in-person empowerment conference and our monthly empowerment series workshops.

The Kool Boiz Foundation College and Trade School Scholarships are awarded to African American males in Youngstown who plan to pursue advanced education after completion of high school. The scholarship will be awarded to students who attend an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university or enroll in a skilled trade or credential program. To date we have awarded eleven $4,000 college scholarships and two $2,000 trade school scholarships.
