Join Our Impact Circle: Where Exposure Becomes Transformation
Overview
The Problem
Too many young people, regardless of their background, never see beyond the boundaries of their own communities. They don't know what they don't know. Without exposure to different careers, experiences, and possibilities, children become adults who never reach their full potential. Traditional one-on-one mentoring programs, while valuable, leave thousands of kids on waiting lists – kids who may never get matched with a mentor.
What We Believe
We believe every child deserves a mentor and the opportunity to discover their potential. We believe kids learn best alongside their peers, not just from adults. We believe that when young people experience the world beyond their neighborhoods – whether that's visiting a tech company, learning to cook with friends, or traveling to explore new places – they develop the confidence and vision to pursue bigger dreams.
What We're Doing
KB Foundation eliminates waiting lists through group-based mentoring that serves 200+ youth annually in the greater Philadelphia area. We pick up kids from their communities and take them on educational adventures – from corporate visits and college tours to cooking classes and international trips. Our "exposure is life" approach ensures every child can name at least 13 different career paths they've experienced firsthand. Unlike traditional programs, we create peer communities where learning happens naturally and kids expand their horizons together.
How You Can Help
Your support removes barriers and opens doors. A monthly gift of $25 provides mentoring support for one child for a month. Corporate partnerships provide career exposure opportunities. Event sponsorships fund our educational trips that change young people's perspectives forever. By investing in KB Foundation, you're not just supporting programs – you're investing in young people who will return to their communities as leaders, dreamers, and change-makers.
