For this Giving Tuesday and Holiday Giving Season, we are drawing attention to “Bonded Cats” – a phenomenon that often occurs in community cats, because of the hard challenges they face being alone in communities.

By bonding, feral, stray and abandoned cats can find comfort and security and begin to form a supportive social structure among other community cats.

As community cat care givers, we see how petrified new cats are when they first join a colony, and being able to find a partner, helps them find their place in their new community.

Bonded cats form deep emotional attachment to each another, grooming, sleeping close together, and showing signs of distress when separated.

It’s no surprise, our caregivers OFTEN see bonded cats when we are feeding in the community. They are one of our greatest delights … a sign that they have found a peaceful place to belong and feel safe.

THANK YOU for supporting us, our bonded cats, and all the other felines looking for their place to call home and receive care. You make a difference in their lives.

Kim’s Cat Crusade continues to feed 250+ community cats, and we hope to sustain and expand this service for years to come.
