The Kollel’s growth depends on donors like you to help us hit our stretch goal of $24k. Baruch HaShem we hit our first goal for basic upkeep of the Kollel ($18k), but for growth and expansion, including the possibility of more shiurim from the Rosh Kollel - Rabbi Yechiel Michal Zev Horowitz- we are trying to reach for another $6k before Rosh Hashanah.

The Beis Midrash that Became a Home

For decades, Har Nof has been a magnet for Anglos coming from South Africa, the UK, Canada and the United States. Away from their families, in a new land and often a new language, we've come to build a life of Torah. But once yeshiva dorms fade to office cubicles, the mystique of Jerusalem and Israel can begin to ebb within us all.

What was needed was a place to learn, a rebbe to teach and a beis midrash to call home - a community where to belong, to chew on Torah and enjoy its challenge. What was needed was Kollel Gedulei Tzion.

Our beis midrash has become exactly that.

Every morning, young men fill D'var Yerushalayim with the sound of Torah.

The Kollel is now a staple of learning for working men to keep the love of learning alive. We provide stability, growth, and inspiration to those outside the yeshiva system who come seeking. Our costs are minimal, but they still do exist.

The number 18 represents chai - life. As one member of the kollel put it: I moved to Eretz Yisrael over two years ago, but I didn't feel I lived in Eretz Yisrael until I joined the Kollel. This campaign isn’t just about covering costs. It’s about ensuring that the next young man who arrives in Har Nof searching for direction finds a home, a mentor, and a chevra waiting for him.
