Your contribution has united us in helping girls and boys recognize their equality, thereby transforming gender dynamics in underserved communities around the world. Together, we are teaching photography to girls, who then pass on their knowledge to boys. Gender inequality is identified by the World Bank as the primary obstacle to national economic development. One contributing factor is the global 30% decrease in girls’ self-confidence. Despite this, KIOO girls in Uganda experienced a 69% boost in self-confidence after completing our workshop. That is an almost 100-point swing in the right direction!
