Over the past Four months we have welcomed 18 new little lives to the Walking Wild family. Most of these sweet faces came to us because they were abandoned, illegally owned or seized by law enforcement. As the largest and only indoor/outdoor fox rescue, we get called for crisis situations. Many of these circumstances would result in death or euthanasia if we are not able to step up and help. The hardest part of rescue is knowing you can't save them all, but we will save as many as we can. Thankfully these 18 are all safe and sound here at Walking Wild.

One of the biggest reasons we can't save every animal is financial restraint. Initial expenses for each new arrival are close to $300, with general supplies, parasite prevention, initial medical care. This doesn't include expenses of someone has additional medical issues. In this crew of 18, three have been in rough shape and required more extensive medical treatment upon arrival for mange and upper respiratory issues. In addition, these new arrivals also came with expansion needs which cost just over $15,000.

In order to continue saving lives, we need your support. $5,000 is the amount of Initial expenses for the newest 18 members of the Walking Wild family, not including additional medical expenses for our few that needed some extra TLC. As we enter the last few months of the year our expenses always increase with cold weather facility costs and increased appetite as our crew does their instinctual cold weather prep.
