Community Center Immediate Renovations

Yujwal tyoxh! Gracias! Thank you!

Our recent acquisition of 8.5 acres of prosperous land in North Omaha - which has been cared for as a regenerative urban agroforest for over a decade - is ready to provide nourishing food, native herbal medicines, and other resources for many of our community programs.

However, the buildings on the property are in vital need of repair, which prevents us from gathering volunteers and team members at the center to work with the land.

While we already have funds and partnerships supporting us in the long term, we require immediate funding for a few key renovations in order to activate the community center for this year's harvests.

We now humbly appeal to our community for a sum of $100,000 to be applied directly to installing insulation and repairing the bathrooms and plumbing in our main building.

We have exact quotes from trusted contract professionals for both of these major projects and we would begin construction within weeks after our goal is met. While it won't yet be fully renovated, our community center will be able to host volunteers, staff, and events once those two projects are complete.

The purpose of this community center is to heal our ancient relationship with Mother Earth, create economic opportunities, build collective wealth, ensure access to nourishment, and restore Indigenous traditions and culture.

We will support the holistic physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health of the Maya and North Omaha communities with affordable and free organic foods, sustainably-grown native plant medicines, and a haven to gather for spiritual and cultural practices.

This land is a key element in our journey of healing historical trauma and ensuring a sustainable future, serving as infrastructure for the recuperation of Indigenous ways, knowledge, and identity.

Beyond this powerful purpose, the ecological recovery and agricultural knowledge that we will accomplish on our properties will help create a harmonious future for all Living Beings. By applying modern technology to Indigenous ways of being, we will guide global culture, environmental advocacy, and social policies toward a sustainable World.

Your contribution is more than just a donation - it's an active investment in the honoring of our shared heritage and protecting the future of our shared world.

We acknowledge that our projects are done on the traditional land of the Umoⁿhoⁿ Nation. We honor the Indigenous People, all elders past, present, and emerging.
