Exceptional Students, Exceptional School: Oak Creek Academy is the only school of its kind in Central Texas. Our student body comprises over 92% of children with special needs, with more than 77% diagnosed with ASD. We understand that every child is unique and learns differently, which is why we offer non-traditional classrooms that cater to their specific needs.
Comprehensive Development: We believe in addressing all aspects of a student's development, including social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development. Our research-based curriculum, individualized assessments, and effective teaching practices ensure that every child receives the tailored education they deserve.
Diverse and Inclusive: Our student body is incredibly diverse, including neurotypical, gifted/talented, ADHD, autism, dyslexia, Down syndrome, and various other abilities. Our low student-to-teacher ratio, one-on-one and small group instruction, and the support of various therapies create an inclusive environment that fosters success.

Why We Need Your Monthly Support

As a non-profit 501c3 organization, we do not receive any government funding for essential needs such as building maintenance, supplies, facility upgrades, education costs, or scholarships. Tuition alone doesn't cover all our expenses. Many of the families with exceptional children cannot afford the costs of our non-traditional learning environment. Your monthly contribution can make a world of difference by providing scholarships, covering educational costs, staffing, upgrading our facilities, and helping our exceptional community flourish.

Meet Our Founder

Tracy Hanson, with years of experience as an educator, founded Oak Creek Academy. She recognized the changing needs of exceptional students and aimed to provide a safe and encouraging learning environment where students could receive the extra support they need. Since 2013, the Oak Creek Community has been dedicated to offering year-round schooling for exceptional children in the greater Killeen area, empowering them to grow academically at their own pace.
