This year, I’m celebrating my birthday by raising money for Freedom Canines International (FCI)—a nonprofit that trains and places service dogs free of charge for Texans in need.

At Freedom Canines, the mission is “Pups EMPOWERING People!” Every dog raised and trained not only transforms the life of the person they’re matched with, but also inspires and empowers local youth who help train them along the way. Through unique school partnerships, junior high and high school students gain leadership skills, empathy, and hands-on experience while preparing these amazing dogs for their future careers.
