In Memory of Kathy Croskey Humbers

On February 28th, 2025 Kathy Croskey Humbers made her journey to heaven. February 28th is also recognized as Rare Disease Day. Kathy and two of her brothers (Mike and Buzz) suffered from a rare disease called VCP Disease. This disease devastates families. Kathy’s family is not unlike other VCP disease families in that this disease has made its way through generations. Kathy hated this disease and would want nothing more than any donations made to go to finding a treatment or a cure so her kids and grandkids, nieces and nephews don’t suffer the same fate as her and her brothers and the generations before them.

On April 5th, 2025 we will celebrate Kathy’s life with a bright, colorful party at the Tama Eagles Club. There will be memorial jars present if you feel more comfortable donating cash. Checks will be accepted at that time as well and can be made out to Cure VCP Disease. 

 

Please remember Kathy for her care for others, her nurse’s heart, her love of animals, and her crazy personality! There certainly will never be anyone else like her.
