Together, the Mass Ave Cultural Arts District (MACAD) and the Mass Ave Merchants Association (MAMA) are dedicated to cultivating a vibrant, inclusive, and thriving community—where culture, commerce, and creativity come together to shape a dynamic future for Mass Ave Indy.

MACAD, a 501(c)3 nonprofit public benefit corporation, plays a key role in nurturing and celebrating the vitality of our community. It unites neighborhoods, local businesses, and cultural venues to honor the authentic history, heritage, and environment of the NE Quad of downtown Indianapolis.

With over 100 locally owned businesses—including eclectic shops, restaurants, and lively nightlife venues—Mass Ave stands as a lively hub of culture and commerce. MAMA actively supports and promotes this entrepreneurial spirit, ensuring the district remains a place of innovation, diversity, and authentic character.
