Kellan was born at 33 weeks gestation due to a pregnancy complication called HELLP Syndrome. He spent 30 days in the NICU. During this time, Craig and I loved to read to him and still do. Kellan loves books and we give back to the NICU at Akron General Hospital and The Special Care Nursery at Wooster Community Hospital each year on Kellan's birthday to support current families.

We would like to be able to include one book in each of our 100 care packages so that families can read to their baby and bond while they're in the NICU. Our time in the NICU with Kellanhas a special place in our hearts and we love being able to support others who also find themselves on this unexpected journey.

Project NICU offers connection, support and community to all involved in the NICU Journey. From NICU Care Packages, Peer Support, Graduate Programming, events and more we are here for every step of the journey. Led by NICU Parents, our programs are designed with first hand experience with support by NICU medical professionals on our advisory board to truly create an environment where families and NICU Teams can feel supported.
