The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is made up of middle and high school students who are leading change in Arlington and beyond. YAB amplifies youth voices, lifts up issues that matter to teens, and drives community outreach throughout the year.

Through youth-led campaigns and workshops that promote college and career readiness as well as mental health and wellness, YAB ensures that young people are shaping solutions for safe, healthy, and connected communities.

YAB also hosts Unplugged events, free gatherings that give teens a safe space to relax, connect with friends, and build community through fun activities.

Each year, YAB designs and hosts the Listen, Learn, Lead Summit, a one-of-a-kind event created by teens for teens that brings young people together to share ideas, spark connections, and inspire action.

The Center for Youth and Family Advocacy (CYFA) believes every young person and family has the potential to thrive. We turn that belief into action by surrounding youth and caregivers with the support they need to succeed. Our continuum of care includes after-school enrichment from elementary through high school, college and career readiness opportunities, and restorative diversion that keeps youth in classrooms instead of courtrooms. We also provide family workshops and resources that strengthen relationships and build resilience at home. CYFA lifts up youth leadership through the Youth Advisory Board and Youth Peer Court Ambassadors, ensuring young people are at the center of change in their communities.
