In loving memory of Kimberlee Swanson, the God's Secret Service Agents (GSSA) Foundation and the Swanson/Smith family are proud to announce the creation of the Kimberlee Swanson Memorial Scholarship Program. Kimberlee was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sibling, friend, and the Vice-President of the GSSA Foundation, who passed away in June 2024. Her passion for helping others and her unwavering commitment to service touched many lives, especially the girls of the Maasai tribe in Oloirien Village, Kenya.
With your help, GSSA and Kimberlee's Family are committed to establishing a $25,000 Scholarship Endowment Fund in Kimberlee's name, which will ensure that her legacy of kindness continues for generations. The interest generated by this endowment will provide ongoing scholarships, supporting girls of the Maasai tribe in Oloirien Village, Kenya, year after year without ever touching the principal.
To kickstart this mission, GSSA and Kimberlee's family will match every donation dollar-for-dollar, up to $12,500. This matching challenge will allow us to support several deserving girls in 2025 and many more in the future. The selection of Kimberlee Swanson Scholars will be done in partnership between GSSA and Kimberlee's family.
The Kimberlee Swanson Memorial Scholarship Fund will provide vital educational support to girls in the impoverished Maasai tribe of Oloirien Village in Kenya. In Maasai culture, girls often face immense barriers to education. Many are at risk of early pregnancy, teen marriage and harmful cultural practices like female genital mutilation, unless they are given the opportunity to attend school. Kimberlee was deeply moved by the challenges these young girls face, knowing that without education, they are denied the opportunities for growth, empowerment, and a brighter future.
As a GSSA Board member and mother, Kimberlee was determined to make a difference. She worked tirelessly to raise funds for educational materials, computers, and supplies for the Super Eagles Academy in Oloirien Village. Her passion also led to the funding of a Girls' Empowerment Club, providing mentoring and support for the girls both at the school and in the broader village.
To continue Kimberlee’s life of kindness and generosity, the Memorial Scholarship Fund will offer a lifeline to the girls of Oloirien Village. Through education, these young girls will have the opportunity to break free from the cycle of poverty and and cultural barriers, unlocking their full potential. For just $250, one girl can attend school for an entire year, covering tuition, books, uniform, mentoring, and life-changing experiences through the Kimberlee Swanson Scholarship Program.
We invite you—our GSS Agents, Kimberlee’s family, friends, and other supporters—to join us in this mission. Your donation will help ensure that you are part of a lasting tribute to Kimberlee’s incredible legacy. Together, we can educate and empower these young girls, change their futures, and uplift their entire community.
Your generosity will ensure that Kimberlee’s passion for helping others will live on, offering hope and opportunity to those who need it most! Thank you for your support and for keeping Kimberlee’s memory alive through your kindness.
With Deep Gratitude,
The Swanson/Smith Family & GSSA Foundation
