Kipepeo Restoration and Rehabilitation Center
God has placed a clear vision on Denny and Sarah Reed to establish a Christian drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Tanzania—one centered on the truth of the Gospel and the transforming power of Jesus Christ. At this time, there are no Christian rehabilitation centers in the Kilimanjaro region (to their knowledge), leaving a critical gap for men seeking freedom that addresses not only addiction, but the spiritual roots beneath it.
Before they flew home, Denny and Sarah were able to spend time at a potential rehabilitation facility located in the Kilimanjaro region. The property spans approximately two acres and includes a building that is ready to house 20–25 men. Their plan is to operate a 3–6 month residential rehabilitation program, paired with intentional outpatient support to walk alongside men as they reintegrate into daily life. While the building itself exists, significant costs remain—including securing long-term rent, preparing the space, staffing, and resourcing the program so it can operate with excellence and long-term sustainability.
Their hope is to secure rent for multiple years, providing stability and consistency for both the staff and the men being served. They are prayerfully planning to begin preparations in 2026. Denny will be traveling to Tanzania in February 2026 to help prepare the center, strengthen partnerships, and lay the groundwork for operations. He plans to continue visiting multiple times throughout the year, while the Reed family intends to be on the ground at least once annually—remaining present, connected, and relationally invested.
One of the greatest strengths of this vision is the team God has already assembled. Denny and Sarah are working alongside trusted local leaders and partners, many of whom they have walked with for more than 15 years. These long-standing relationships provide accountability, cultural wisdom, and spiritual covering, ensuring the center is locally led, Christ-centered, and built to last.
Their prayer is to see men’s lives transformed as they encounter the hope of the Gospel, experience healing, and step into wholeness—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. They believe this season of preparation is not a delay but a divine alignment, positioning the ministry for lasting impact in a region that has long needed a Christ-centered place of restoration.
