Gizmo (now Chapo) arrived at Stockton Shelter looking like life had absolutely body-checked him — because it did. Hit by a car, in severe pain, and placed on the euthanasia list once his stray hold ended. Not because he didn’t deserve saving… but because his medical needs were more than the shelter could manage. 💔

On intake, Chapo presented with:
👁️ Blindness in one eye
🦴 An infected injury on his damaged leg
🐾 An additional toe injury on the opposite foot
✂️ Multiple lacerations and untreated old injuries
💔 Obvious, prolonged neglect

It’s heartbreaking. And it’s exactly why Woof Tribe and Bethany Lobo stepped in and said:
“No. Give us 24 hours. He gets a chance.” ✨

So on 12/11 at 6 a.m., before caffeine, before logic, we drove from San Francisco back to the shelter, picked up this broken boy, and rushed him to emergency care.

And now:

🐾 He’s loved.
🐾 He’s finally getting the medical care he desperately needed.
🐾 He is FOREVER a Woof Tribe dog — and we will have his back, no matter what.

🩺 Twice-weekly or weekly vet visits for splint changes, bandage changes, and orthopedic monitoring
