About the Gathering

In this moment of intense political attacks on organizations and communities, we need to create a space for visioning, connections and actions. The purpose of this convening is to create a dedicated space for community leaders, organizers, and base-building organizations to come together, reflect on the past 50 years, and envision the next 50 years of Southeast Asian (SEA) cultural and political experiences. The gathering is intended for grassroots organizers, base-building organizations, value-aligned community leaders, artists, healers and allies.

Our objectives are:

1.  To build the social and political power of SEA communities through a shared vision

2. To provide healing and storytelling spaces for SEA organizers and leaders

3. To strengthen the infrastructure of SEA organizations

4. To develop an advocacy and policy agenda to advance local and national campaigns

Solidarity Opportunities

“Solidarity Opportunities” is SEAFN’s way of continuing our work in a transformative and relational way rather than traditional sponsorships because it helps us to reframe giving as collective participation in justice rather than a financial transaction. 

We invite your organization to join as a partner to make this convening accessible to community leaders nationwide. Sponsorships will directly fund travel scholarships, translation, childcare, and artists/healers/speakers to ensure inclusion and equity.  All donations more than $500 will receive official recognition in our programming, prominent logo placement on all event materials, press releases, and social media with high-visibility mentions plus post event webpage.

Solidarity Tiers:                   

• Mutual Aid Partner — covers participation costs for grassroots leaders

• Community Care Circle — funds healing, accessibility, and wellness

• Liberation Investor — invests in long-term community infrastructure

• Ancestral Steward — honors legacy and intergenerational knowledge                                                           

Reciprocity in Action- we are also offering ways for registrants and sponsors to donate in other ways to support the gathering:                                                                         

• Sliding Scale Sponsorships: Larger orgs contribute more to subsidize grassroots or individual attendance.

• Pay It Forward Passes: Every ticket or sponsorship includes the cost of another attendee’s participation.

• Community Redistribution Fund: Sponsors know their money goes directly toward travel stipends, ASL interpreters, healing space, or childcare.

***In-kind contributions (hotel vouchers, airbnb opportunities, food, interpretation, art supplies, or media) are also welcome and will be acknowledged in our materials.

Grassroots movements are built on mutual aid—people pooling time, skills, and resources to survive and thrive together. When you support our work in solidarity, you acknowledge that our liberation is interconnected.
