The Inspired Lumber Project

In a world where those who have bravely served our nation often face unseen battles, The Inspired Lumber Project stands as a beacon of hope and resilience. Our mission is simple yet profound: to provide veterans, first responders, and marginalized groups with access to a professional wood shop environment and educational opportunities in order to promote healing, connection, and a sense of purpose for all participants.

In fulfilling our mission, The Inspired Lumber Project provides access to key programs that serve as vehicles for empowerment and healing. The Salute to Carpentry Program is designed specifically for veterans, offering them a therapeutic woodworking experience that fosters skill development and emotional resilience. Additionally, we provide Wood Shop Access to veterans and first responders, creating a safe, supportive space where they can reconnect with themselves and others through the craft of woodworking. Our commitment also extends to offering Educational Programming for children, as well as for neuro-diverse individuals and those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their challenges, has the opportunity to engage in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.

Woodworking is more than just a craft - it is a powerful tool for healing, fostering community, and rebuilding lives. Through the hands-on creation of wood projects, participants not only develop skills but also experience a deep sense of purpose, connection, and long-term mental well-being.
