Celebrating Life and Remembrance: Dia de los Muertos

Día de los Muertos holds deep cultural significance as a time to honor and remember loved ones who have passed away. 

For those who are incarcerated, losing a loved one can be especially difficult, as they often cannot participate in traditional mourning rituals or be with family during times of grief. 

Our Celebrating Life and Remembrance: Día de los Muertos Festival event will provide a meaningful way for the men at San Quentin to honor those they have lost, share cherished memories, and keep their loved ones close to their hearts through storytelling, art, and communal remembrance.
