Emergency Preparedness Support
At Lucky Animal Protection Shelter, we are proud to be the only rescue shelter for street dogs in Northern Pakistan. Every month, we care for over 300 dogs at our shelter and feed another 50 stray dogs in nearby neighborhoods. These animals rely on us for their very survival.
Feeding them is a daily challenge. With the high cost of imported kibble and canned food, we’ve committed to preparing homemade, nutritious meals every single day.
Now, our work is under threat.
As tensions escalate between India and Pakistan, missile strikes and shelling have intensified. The risk of full-scale war is growing. LAPS is located just 29 miles from the Afghanistan border and less than an hour’s flight from India—an area surrounded by military-sensitive installations. Just last night, missile strikes landed only 120 miles from our shelter.
So far, all the animals in our care are safe. But the situation is deteriorating rapidly. We’re already facing disruptions in communication with vendors, and we fear our access to essential food and medical supplies could be cut off at any moment.
To prepare, we urgently need to stockpile two weeks' worth of supplies—but we can’t do it without your support.
Please consider donating today to help us keep these 300 lives safe and fed during this critical time.
