We're deeply grateful for your participation in Laal's ongoing development, which in turn makes possible community outreach, programming, and fostering a self-sustaining community of Bangladeshi and Bengali womxn in the Bronx.

Laal is located in Norwood, the Bronx in NYC. We offer an array of programming, direct services, and resources to the vibrant Bangladeshi immigrant community. Bangladeshi's are one of the fastest growing immigrant communities in NYC.

Through Laal's 2019 Needs-Based Assessment we found that Bangladeshi immigrant womxn were isolated for 8-12 hours a day causing severe mental health challenges.

At Laal, we address these issues from a holistic standpoint. From our yoga classes to sex education in Bangla, we believe Bangladeshi womxn deserve to live lives full of dignity, love, and choice.

Through language justice, reproductive rights, cooperative development, community led research, climate activism we are building a movement at Laal slowly, but surely.
