LAITR has been servicing Washtenaw County’s most vulnerable residents for the last 4 years and we’re not ready to stop. We’ve served over 350 residents in this time (and counting). We currently serve about 20 individual clients for weekly 1:1 services as well as provide 4 groups weekly ranging from 7-15 participants. We do NOT want to have to tell our clients we can no longer help them.

The funding and political climates we are in currently has us at risk of losing staff. If we do not receive urgent support within the next couple months, all 3 of LAITR’s occupational therapists will have to move to part-time. After that, we will start to lose ability to keep our OTs at all. We have already had to reduce services & we’re fighting to prevent further reduction.

Less OTs means less services for justice-impacted individuals. Less services for this population means increased risk to our community’s health and safety.
