Welcome! At Lander-Grinspoon Academy, we pride ourselves on creating challenging, inspiring, and meaningful experiences for all of our students and their families. Our outstanding academic program, deep commitment to social justice, robust social-emotional curriculum, artistic explorations, transformative engagement with the natural environment, farmwork, and stimulating extracurricular offerings are all hallmarks of LGA learning. We graduate mentches, wholesome young people who embody deeply-held Jewish values, are part of a close-knit community of friends, have a strong sense of self-worth, and are committed to serving as leaders within the Jewish and global communities they will join in the future.
Lander-Grinspoon Academy is the heart of the Pioneer Valley’s Jewish community. When our students come together, whether it is to learn or sing or play, you can see the unfolding of an open, inclusive, and hopeful vision of the Jewish future.
Hesed—or kindness—is one of the pillars of our community. Ensuring that every student, no matter the circumstances, can attend Lander-Grinspoon Academy is how we live out our values. More than half of our students receive significant financial support, and we need your help, now more than ever, to build a better, more beautiful future for our children and community.
What does our community have to say about LGA?
-LGA is a radically welcoming, joyous, safe, song-filled, book-loving, spiritually & ethically grounded space to hold my kids and family as we move through this chapter of our lives. I couldn't feel more grateful for this school, and I so deeply want it to have the resources to match its enormous heart. Dreaming into a future in which teachers are paid what they deserve & anyone who wants to access LGA's magic is able to do so! –Hilary Costa, current parent and board member
-My kids (30 and 27!) still speak fondly of their wonderful education and learning. -Bob Marmor, alumni parent
-LGA is the type of school I wish I had gone to and a big part of my community in Western Mass. They are building up our youth to be the adults this world needs more of. -Sonia Wilk, LGA Board Member
-I love that one of LGA’s teachers, Morah Becky, was 24 years old when she started and only 12 years older than her students. I love that my daughter is over 30 and still knows and loves her. Becky is truly an incredible teacher and a forever friend, and LGA is a forever school. -Anita Sever, alumni parent
