Many of the animals that come in to Lucky Paws are not always adoptable.

While we feel there is a home for every animal, it became necessary to have a location for the animals that are less likely to find homes. Especially in todays climate.

After so many people got pets during Covid, shelters closed down and spay/neuter services and veterinarians were suddenly inundated and overwhelmed trying to keep up with the enormous increase in pets, the overpopulation of pets exploded. Less than perfect pets find it very difficult to find homes. Although Lucky Paws has had horses for the past 7 years, more and more dogs are now needing a place to land We have Bingo - a 4yo Doxy mix who does not trust people and has bitten. Chowder, a 2.5 yo doxy mix has had 2 owners die and also has trust issues. Tango, Batman, Esmeralda, Lexi and more call Lucky Paws their home. It became necessary to build them a home where they can flourish and live, until they find very special homes - if they exist please consider donating to their new home. Fencing, housing, food, toys, vet care and more are needed to provide the basics they need. We go though shavings for both horses and dogs, hay, grain and more but specifically, we need fencing to secure the animals and keep them safe.
