SPONSOR A CAMERA TRAP, SUPPORT JAGUAR CONSERVATION
In order to monitor every jaguar between the Osa Peninsula and the Talamanca mountain range on the long-term, we need a broad and reliable network of active camera traps. Our field team conducts expeditions on a regular basis to check the results of each camera trap and collect valuable scientific data. To track, find, and identify every jaguar, we require 150 active camera traps in the field.
In addition to the expansion and maintenance of the camera trap network, our operations budget covers: expeditions expenses (accomodation, food, batteries, expedition gear, gas), expedition leaders’ salaries, as well as replacement of stolen/deteriorated camera traps.
