CELEBRATE PRIDE! SUPPORT THE VINCENT PRIZE!

Created in 2019, in honor of our founder Norma VIncent Millay and her sister, Vincent (aka Edna St. Vincent Millay), the maverick activist and poet who unapologetically embraced queerness, The Vincent Prize is intended for creators who identify as trans*, genderqueer, or gender nonconforming.

We are proud to be a trans-affirming organization committed to gender self-determination. We recognize that language evolves alongside understanding, and we use the term “trans* in its most inclusive sense, as an umbrella term encompassing transsexual, transgender, genderqueer, Two-Spirit people, and anyone whose gender identity or gender expression is nonconforming and/or different from their gender assigned at birth.

Your contribution will help fund our historic Core Residency program at Millay Arts and the annual Vincent Prize Fellow, including a stipend to covers costs back home that might prevent participation (rent, childcare, travel, materials, work leave).
