The Lone Star Community Response Team came from the long desire of our founders (over 25 years) to create a response team that was also a close network of volunteers throughout the state.

Every person goes through life and develops skills that are necessary to endure life’s challenges. Many of us are also trained as responders in a variety of capacities, but for whatever reason, some pursue careers away from their passion. This has been the case for more of us than not. In early 2019 a group of Texans was brought together. Approximately one year went by, and the time was right.

In March of 2020, we formed the LSCRT and became a Texas-registered non-profit corporation in April. We are also a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit pending our status with the I.R.S.

We all know that life can change in the blink of an eye during natural or man-made disasters or events. Whether the event involves one person, one community or a large area of our state, First Responders step forward and answer the call. We activate with our partner agencies and organizations through the area emergency dispatch protocol. Our members are trained in many capacities and stand in the ready to respond to any situation such as weather events, fires, floods, lost persons, or even WMD’s.

Our goal is to assemble teams around the state of men and women who have the desire to step forward when called. Every person who wishes to volunteer has a place and a skill that is important to a successful mission and to our TEAM.
