On November 18, 2007, Leuk's Landing opened its doors to provide sanctuary and advocacy for kitties with Feline Leukemia (FeLV). As of November 2023, 452 cats and kittens have passed through our doors. On average we have about 75 in our care, 26-28 onsite in the sanctuary and 45-47 in long term foster homes.

We have a loyal group of volunteers, many who have been volunteering for over 10 years. Our feeding and cleaning team numbers about 15 individuals who are there every week or sometimes twice a week. We have another 15-20 individuals who visit weekly to play with the kitties. Rarely is there a day when the kitties are alone. Weekends are extra busy with groups and organizations visiting for study breaks or to fulfill community service goals.

Every Thanksgiving we celebrate our thanks for these volunteers and the fact that we are able to provide great accommodations and vet care for these kitties. Our vet bills represent a little over half of our operating costs.

Several individuals have come forward to provide matching funds for this annual event. The first $2500 in donations will be matched one for one. We appreciate these generous donors.
