Come kick off another school year with MDS staff, families and the community at our 2025 5K walk/run event happening on Saturday, September 13 at Phalen Lake (1600 Phalen Dr, St Paul, MN 55106).

The event starts at 9 AM and ends at 11 AM. Registration opens at 8:30 AM.

$25 per person. Includes water. Want a t-shirt too? $40 per person.

Metro Deaf School in St. Paul is one of Minnesota’s first public charter schools and is celebrating over 30 years this year. MDS’ philosophy offers students who are deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing, and their families a bilingual approach to education, valuing American Sign Language and English for instruction. At present, MDS serves over 170 students from over 40 different school districts around the Twin Cities area and Wisconsin.
