Longfellow PTO Penny Wars!

WHEN DONATING, PLEASE CLICK "ADD NOTE/COMMENT" AND ENTER THE GRADE YOUR DONATION IS GOING TO.

How it works:

  • Students are divided into teams by grade and each grade is assigned a collection jar.
  • Jars will be located in the main hallway by the school entrance/office.
  • Students will have the opportunity to add their coins, cash and/or checks into their teams jar daily during the duration of the Penny War.
  • Please make any checks payable to Longfellow Elementary PTO.
  • This year we will also be accepting online donations. See below for more info. ALL ONLINE DONATIONS WILL EARN DOUBLE POINTS!!!! (*example A $5 online donation will be awarded 1,000 points instead of 500.)
  • The money in each teams jar will be counted daily and the points tallied.
  • Point standings will be updated on a scoreboard in school each evening and be announced on the CB Longfellow PTO Facebook Page.
  • The grade with the most points at the end of the week wins a party of their choice! PIZZA, POPCORN OR ICE CREAM PARTY!!!!

Point Values:

Check: Check amount (e.g. $5 check = 500 points) - Penny: 1 point - Nickel: 5 points - Dime: 10 points

Quarter: 25 points - $1 Bill: 100 points - $5 Bill: 500 points - $10 Bill: 1,000 points - $20 Bill: 2,000 points

(ALL ONLINE DONATIONS WILL RECIEVE DOUBLE POINTS)

*100% Of Donations will help fund the end of the year 5th grade celebration and teacher appreciation week.*
