I crossed paths with a young adult NS alum on Labor Day weekend, just as school was about to start. Truth be told, I was feeling old and tired. Seeing one another, both of our faces lit up, and he said, “I have to tell you that I drove by NS this week with friends and told them, ’That’s the best school I ever attended’. And I meant it, Tricia!” When I asked why, he said NS was the place where he learned African dance, researched Tolkien, and made lifelong friends. Good reasons! I walked away with renewed energy in my step.
