Lucky Cat Gardens is an AAPI woman-owned mobile plant shop that facilitates cat adoptions with local rescues. Owner Aubrey Iwamoto along with her husband Bill Zsunkan are aiming to secure a permanent location in Los Angeles to fulfill their dream of opening a cat adoption center/plant shop/creative community space. Lucky Cat Gardens' physical location will be a safe space in the community bringing educational events for youth and underserved communities, more green spaces, and expanding cat rescue and adoption efforts. We have the ability and know-how. You can help to make this dream a reality!

History:

From September 2022 through April 2024 Aubrey and Bill operated a plant nursery in the Eagle Rock/ Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. There they hosted pop-up shops and cat adoptions for the community. These pop-up shops gave over 200 local small businesses an affordable venue to sell their wares and promote their businesses while creating a positive social space in the community. During their time at the shop, the adoption events, as well as Aubrey and Bill's foster efforts, facilitated the adoption of over 150 cats! *Plants labeled by Lucky Cat Gardens as "Pet Safe" are on the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center's list of "non-toxic" plants for cats and dogs. For questions regarding toxicity to other animals, further research is suggested.
