Thank you for your interest in partnering with Burro Base Camp for our 2025 Apples & Asses event. The fall festival will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Burro Base Camp in Kiowa, CO.

Burro Base Camp is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Our programming is funded through adoption fees, private donations, sponsorships, and grants, and our work is carried out entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers. Our mission is to find trusted homes for previously wild and domestic burros while serving as a steward to the burros through training, education, and community support.

Since our founding in 2016, we have supported more than 400 burros. Through July 2025, we have averaged 53 burros in our care at any given time and have successfully placed 34 burros into trusted homes this year alone.
