The new year is upon us and here at Moves and Grooves, we’re gearing up for a “Groundbreaking” 2024! But before the ball drops, we’re also taking a moment to reflect on the impact we’ve made together these past 12 months as we continuously push to rid our city of youth violence and to protect and care for the next generation’s mental health.

So what have we accomplished this year?

>> MAG has officially closed on our land! Yes, that’s right – we have acquired the land and entered the early development stages of building Nashville’s first Youth Arts & Innovation Center. The 20k square foot building will be located at 5400 Mt. View Rd Antioch, TN.

>> Held our 20th Anniversary Gala (including a silent auction) and raised a total of $84k.

>> We launched our first scholarship, the Moves & Grooves Alumni Scholarship Fund, which awarded a total of $20k to 3 of our alumni.

>> Opened our first charter elementary school site with 160 kids.

>> We have added 6 new corporate sponsors including Google Fiber, Tanger Outlet, and Uncle Nearest Whiskey.

We have so many children we want to turn into success stories like Rickia. As we approach the end of this year and reach 2024 with renewed vision and determination to save our youth by building a safe space for them to call home – will you join us?
