Spear. The course and driving range are located in Bettendorf Iowa, which is part of the Quad Cities and built on land purchased from the David Palmer family in 1971. Palmer Hills opened in 1975, and is home to 100 year old oak trees, rolling hills, ponds, and a meandering creek that comes into play on 11 holes. A variety of teeing options make the hills and water a challenge that is playable for golfers of all levels.
