We are leasing two adjoining properties in Grand Rapids (Belknap neighborhood). Our goal: purchase those properties and two other adjoining properties to create a compact community of affordable, cooperative housing. This also converts our Polaris community from renters to homeowners! The cost for the purchase, targeted for 2027, is expected to be around $1 million. Every dollar we raise reduces the cost of the mortgage, and therefore the monthly rent for our member owners.
