Funding inequities cast shadows over a staggering percentage of Philadelphia youth. At Rock to the Future, we confront this challenge head-on by offering access and opportunities for young people to grow into the brightest rockstars they can be both on and off the stage!

Through the transformative power of music, economic empowerment, and resource support, we cultivate pathways to brighter futures — because every young person deserves the chance to shine.

Join us in paving the way for youth to show their shine at our annual fundraiser, Music for All Ball, on April 20, 2024, at World Cafe Live.

Supporters will be treated to a concert with notable Philadelphian performer Sam Rise, along with our very own Rock to the Future Students. You'll also enjoy drinks, food, and opportunities to mingle with our team and fellow supporters!

Run of Show

- 6 - 7:30 pm: Doors Open, Check-in, Open Bar & Dinner (Food station closes at 8:30 pm)
- 7:30 - 9:00 pm: The main show begins at 7:30 pm sharp.
- 9:00 pm: Mingling, Dancing and Dessert
- 10:00 pm: Bar Closes + Final Raffle Announcement
- 10:30 pm: Event Ends - thank you for coming!

Featured Performers & Emcee:

Influenced by folk, jazz, blues, and Americana genres, Rise (they/them) connects art and activism in performances and songs concerned with social justice, joy, and community. From traditional performance venues to community gatherings and demonstrations, Rise performs as a soloist, with musical collaborators, and as part of experimental theater and cabaret projects. A self-described “songcatcher,” they approach performance as a form of facilitation, “encouraging audiences to re-embody their own musical capacities.”

QuentinThePoet is an Adjunct Instructor of Social Media Marketing at the Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication. He is the CEO of DragonTree Media Group and curator for organizations like Grounds For Sculpture and the Barnes Foundation. He’s performed for TV, Radio, and digital platforms like Upworthy. As an artistivist, Quentin is committed to placemaking and curating experiences to foster connections that facilitate equity and inclusion through the power of written, spoken, and visual storytelling.

Since launching in 2010, Rock to the Future has grown to serve over 1,100 youth each year in school, after school, and over the summer. Rock to the Future supports positive youth development and economic empowerment through free, student-driven music programs for Philadelphia youth. We envision that all youth in Philadelphia will have access to the life-changing benefits of our transformative music programs.
