McLean Islamic Center's Qur'an Camp is designed to enrich young minds and foster a positive relationship with learning, reciting and understanding the Holy Qur'an. Qur'an campers will be grouped according to their level, not age. Depending on entry level, goals for each Qur'an camper will be to perfect and ensure consistent accuracy.

The three levels are:

Level I - Beginner: Students will learn the Arabic alphabet using the Noorani Qaida and will become comfortable with sight recognition of all letters. Students will work both in groups and as individuals with the teacher and assistant.

Level II - Intermediate: Students will need to know how to connect letters and pronounce properly. Students will spend time in-class practicing reading, writing, and memorizing a Surah from the Qur’an. Students will work both in groups and as individuals with the teacher and assistant.

Level III - Advanced: Students at this level already know how to read and will work on improving and implementing their Tajweed.

Students will be assessed on the same day to make sure that they are placed in their appropriate level.
