This mission is Inspired by My Son

My son has autism, and he absolutely loves being part of community activities. One of his greatest joys is connecting with others, and I want him to feel just as included in our church community. As we've journeyed through this together, I've seen how often he misses out and it is not because he doesn’t want to participate, but because there just aren’t programs that offer the support he needs. There’s no system that allows him to be included while also having a buddy by his side to guide him through.

That’s why I started Faith on a Spectrum. I wanted to create a place where children like my son can attend church, join events, and be active in their communities, just like everyone else, but with the extra support they need to thrive. My goal is to ensure that no child is left out of the chance to worship, learn, or celebrate simply because they need a bit more help.

I know firsthand how difficult it is to find truly inclusive programs. That’s why my vision is to create welcoming spaces where all children feel embraced in church life and community gatherings. My deepest hope is for my son to grow up being able to walk into any church and feel like he belongs.

I truly believe that these inclusive programs don’t just benefit kids with autism, but also enrich the lives of volunteers, church staff, and the entire community by fostering greater compassion and understanding.

Through Faith on a Spectrum, my dream is to create lasting change so children like my son can be a part of every aspect of life and faith. Together, let’s make inclusivity a reality.
