World Food Day is celebrated every year on 16 October to commemorate the date of the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in 1945.
The theme for this year’s World Food Day is “better production, better nutrition, a better environment and a better life”. Reforming agri-food systems so they deliver greater efficiency, food security, and sustainability is critical. The FAO proclaims, “the future of food is in our hands.” We could not agree more.
This year, Million Meals Mission brings to you a limited-edition multimedia package as an expression of our gratitude for any donations made during the MMM World Food Day 2021 week. Within the package are 10 recipe cards of our favourite recipes, a video tutorial for one of the recipes, as well as blogs and infographics for two of the recipes.
At Million Meals Mission, food is entrenched within our ethos. We’re incredibly excited to be able to connect with you this World Food Day. From all of us here at Million Meals Mission, Happy World Food Day!
