Last year I was approached by a group of individuals who were forming a board to revamp Shmira, a local civilian patrol. The goal was to grow the organization into a respected professional organization to help the Los Angeles community. While I was initially reluctant, I saw the need firsthand, I accepted the nomination to join the board.

Over the last year, our board took on the enormous task of making the needed changes to the organization.

Now known as Shmira Public Safety, we incorporated it as a 501c(3) Not for Profit. We updated our mission statement, training program, and policies.

Now we need your help to make much need upgrades to our radio system and to purchase equipment needed for our volunteers to remain safe and be able to serve the community.
