As Nashville continues to grow, we feel it’s important to keep our independent music community thriving to maintain our city's identity as Music City. We want Middle TN to continue to be a friendly and welcoming place for musicians that currently live here, to keep attracting new music artists to move here to hone their craft, and be the best place in the world for the creation of music.

Our mission is to protect Nashville's music culture by providing independent artists from all genres with equal access to resources and opportunities they need to create new works of music and sustain their artistry. Through increased funding and support, we were able to have amazing year of supporting 248 independent music artists in 2024!

Our Programs Help Keep Music in Music City!

Due to Nashville's rising cost of living, the financial barriers for artists to be able to record new works of music are deepening. This problem is causing musicians to move away from Nashville in order to be able to continue pursuing their music careers... which is a huge loss to our city's culture! To help address this issue, this program provides independent music artists with FREE Full-Day Recording Sessions AND FREE Live-In-Studio Video Packages at professional Nashville recording studios to help sustain their artistry and build their careers. Music is a reflection of the human experience and has helped many of us heal from the hardships life can bring. We belive music is one of the most therapeutic and community building art forms humanity has created. We wanted to show the public that music can be used to help individuals and communities heal. Through this series, we provide Nashville music artists with a platform to discuss how they use music to maintain their mental health, manage trauma and life's challenges, and build stronger more culturally vibrant communities. Music City is the nickname given to Nashville because of the incredible music community and the scene we have. However, it’s all too rare that our cities' live music events reflect several different genres and musical styles that Nashville has to offer. We provide Nashville with the opportunity to explore several different styles of music at one artist showcase. Our goal is to bring different demographics and music communities together to celebrate our scene and connect with people they typically wouldn't have the opportunity to meet.

To help the general public gain a better understanding of how songs are made, we wanted to provide viewers an insider's perspective to delve into the artistry of the music creation process. Our goal is to show viewers how much thought, effort, time, and resources go into producing the songs they love to listen to. This video series intertwines live music performances with artists interviews in an intimate setting. Artists discuss what influences their composition and songwriting processes, explain the meaning behind their songs, and why music is important to them. (Watch Example Videos)
