The MO Equity Education Partnership began as Facebook group in April 2021 in order to respond to the first threat to public school education: a bill that would prevent educators from teaching accurate and true history. After realizing that this threat would be ongoing, we officially became an organization in order to respond to all threats to equity and inclusion in our schools and communities.

Since 2021, we have tracked and fought against hundreds of bills that would remove individual rights, negatively impact the quality of life for hundreds of Missourians, strip our schools of resources and the ability to serve all students, and limit citizens ability to exercise power and fully participate in our democracy. We have also fought to protect our school boards by empowering parents, students, and citizens to organize in their district and work to support candidates and individuals that place the needs of ALL students above attempts to politize their local school boards.

This work needs your support. Protecting our schools and communities requires the collective efforts of a number of professionals: organizers, educators, policy professionals, and more. It also requires programs that help people to stand up and use their voices to advocate for what they want for themselves and their communities. Finally, it requires avenues for educating the public utilizing written, digital, and promotional formats.
