Established in 2018, MSAHT identifies gaps in services within the existing infrastructure. Our mission is to raise awareness about Human Trafficking by collaborating with government, law enforcement, victims services providers, religious groups and the community.

The following are four ways we aim to raise awareness about human trafficking:

• Identifying the key red flags that may indicate a potential trafficking situation that needs to be reported.

• Raise awareness of what human trafficking looks like in our state and how we can prevent it.

• Provide education on what questions to ask and how to communicate with a potential victim without jeopardizing their safety.

• Provide survivors with resources, guide them through placement for aftercare, and help them regain independence.

MSAHT's goals are to educed incidences of human trafficking in Mississippi, to increased arrests of traffickers, and to ensure survivors have the tools necessary to rebuild their lives.
