MSA 2024-25 annual appeal

• Every year, the  Marlboro School Association (MSA), a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity formed in 1994, makes an annual appeal to the Marlboro community. Proceeds from the appeal are added to the MSA's ever-growing endowment. Each year, the MSA distributes endowment income “to enrich the Marlboro Elementary School students’ education beyond that which can fairly and reasonably be raised through local taxes.” Only income is distributed, the endowment remains untouched. So any donations made to the MSA increase the endowment and benefit all future students at the school, not just those who attend the year donations are made.

• A few examples of the hundreds of projects and programs the MSA has supported over the last 30 years include: funds for P.E. equipment, multiple playground upgrades, support for field research and special U.S. and international class trips, classroom furniture upgrades, many technology improvements, science equipment, Outback sound systems, reference books, shelving for the library, the climbing wall, soundproofing of various classrooms, outdoor disc golf, special workshops, the Compost Center, garden tools, and several music programs.

• Donations of any size are welcome, and tax-deductible as allowed by law. You can make them online right here. If you use this form to donate, GiveButter charges a fee of 2.9%. We ask you to consider covering this fee if possible. (For larger donations, sending us a check will save you or the MSA $.) You can mail checks to PO Box 213, Marlboro, VT 05344, or drop them off with Gail Chaine at MES. Please include your contact information so we can thank you for your gift. Let us know how you would like to be acknowledged in our next annual appeal mailing (e.g. Jane & John Smith, The Smith Family, Anonymous, etc.) And please share this appeal with grandparents, other family members, and friends to help support our wonderful school!
