Making Spirits Bright Sponsorship 2025

Henrico Christmas Mother (HCM) provides food as well as new clothing, books, toys and other gift items to qualifying Henrico County families, disabled adults, and seniors during the holiday season.

 In 2024, HCM provided support to 4,657 individuals including 2,514 children and 842 seniors/disabled adults. We saw a 13% increase in individuals served and a 16% increase in children served in 2024 vs 2023.  100% of recipients served have family incomes at or below 130% of the federal poverty guidelines.  For many families, HCM is their primary source of food to feed their children while they are out of school over the holiday break.
